Ruda - Return to the era of Winnetou

Ruda RUDA- if you ever come to visit Sinj or the district of Cetina, beside the beauties of those places, one also definitely stands out and it is the beauty of the place called Ruda in the community Otok. (www.opcina-otok.hr )

A magnificent well of the river Ruda leaves everyone breathless. That little pearl with the untouched nature and the old ruinous stone mill offers the unique picture to its visitors. Hence, that kind of scene in Croatia can nowadays only been seen in the place like Ruda. In the year 1965, even some cadres from the famous western movie Winnetou were taken in this rather unusual place. Because of its attractiveness, the surrounding of the Ruda well was declared as a distinguishable landscape.
There is also a fish farming place in Ruda; a trout one, but the river itself is also very rich in fishes so the season of fishing is open there every year. Furthermore, in September this year the world championship in the trout fishing will be held. This is a small place, but very wealthy indeed; not only because of its hydroelectric Orlovac, 35 kW substation and fish farming place, but because of its inhabitants who are spiritually very rich and known by their honesty and hard work. Beside the local school that counts 39 students, there is also a beautiful church of St Martin which was built in 1897 and which has recently received a stunning bell tower. Ruda

Because of all just said, do not forget to visit the place Ruda, situated under the mountain Kamesnica within the community of Otok because once you take the fantastic impressions from this picturesque and tame place, you would feel really happy and pleased.
